Condo Cooperative Housing Law
One aspect of our broad real estate practice involves planned real estate development. We work closely with real estate developers, both large and small, in the development of new condominium projects, mixed-use developments, cooperatives and the conversion of rental properties and cooperatives to condominium ownership. We assist developers in the registration of these projects by preparing and registering the Public Offering Statements with the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. We also provide legal assistance to established condominium and cooperatives boards in New Jersey.
Our representation includes counseling the Boards on the day-to-day operations of the condominium associations and cooperative corporations, assisting with administrative tasks such preparing amendments and resolutions, and assisting with elections. We also provide collections services including placing liens on defaulting unit owners, filing lawsuits for personal judgments, to seeking foreclosures of liens.
