Deena Rosendahl Investigates Allegations of Harassment and Retaliation in Palisades Park Police Case

It’s important to conduct an investigation when employees bring complaints to management’s attention. Kaufman, Semeraro & Leibman was retained to investigate Palisades Park Police Lt. Matthew Finck’s internal complaint of harassment and retaliation against Police Chief Benjamin Ramos. Associate Deena Rosendahl, Esq. was able to corroborate several of Lt. Fink’s allegations and issued a report to the governing body detailing the findings. The Governing Body, relying upon this report, sought to suspend Police Chief Ramos. A hearing on the decision to suspend him began yesterday where Ms. Rosendahl, Esq. was called as the first witness on behalf of the Borough.

Update on April 27, 2016
Following a second internal investigation by associate Deena Rosendahl, additional charges were brought against police chief Ramos further highlighting the importance of employers to use a neutral third party to investigate internal employee concerns.
