Joseph R. Suchanek is an associate attorney with Kaufman, Semeraro & Leibman, LLP, joining the firm in 2019. He principally serves the firm’s Land Use & Zoning, Local Government, and Municipal Law Departments. Mr. Suchanek is a member of the Bars of the States of New Jersey and Florida, having previously worked at a law firm in Florida and in Northern New Jersey. He is admitted to the United States District Court, District of New Jersey.
Mr. Suchanek received his B.A. in English from the City University of New York, Liberal Arts Honors Program, where he graduated Phi Beta Kapa, magna cum laude and was awarded a graduate fellowship in English.
He received his J.D. from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he completed the Business Transactions Concentration. He graduated with honors on the Dean’s List and was awarded book awards in Mortgages & Land Contracts and Criminal Law. He also served as Ambassador in law school. At present he is pursuing his L.L.M. through the University of Miami Robert Traurig-Greenberg Traurig Real Property Development program.
Mr. Suchanek is fluent in Czech and Slovak.
